Meet Deborah Wile Dib, President

At Advantage, we’re always searching for the latest in resume writing and career trends. We regularly attend conventions for professional resume writers and career consultants, exchange information with hundreds of colleagues via e-mail bulletin boards, and read, read, read. We believe that sharing knowledge is important and we use many venues to do so.

Over 100 samples of my resumes, cover letters, and career tips are featured in seventeen career books, five of which have been best sellers from McGraw-Hill publishers. You’ll find leading-edge workplace and job search information in my weekly "Career Coach" column at LIJOBS.com. I’ve been quoted and profiled in Newsday, Long Island's leading daily, and I speak on resume writing and career topics at careers industry conferences, in the media, and in workshops.

Committed to ensuring high standards in my industry, I helped to found NRWA (The National Resume Writers' Association) and NRWA's educational journal, The Resume Writers’ Resource, where I served as editor-in-chief for three years. I currently serve on NRWA's Certification Commission where I help develop training materials for resume writers, mentor applicants through extensive resume critiques, and grade submissions for the Nationally Certified Resume Writer credential (NCRW). In my life "before Advantage" I earned my stripes with over twenty years in training and development, sales management, and buying.
